This award recognizes exceptional early career teacher educators in the area of education for students with autism, intellectual disability, or other developmental disabilities.

Given to someone who is beginning his/her career and showing promise as a teacher educator. Individuals who finished their doctoral work less than 5 years ago are eligible. These nominees must be contributing to teacher education in a significant way.

  • Members and non-members can nominate
  • While not mandatory (except for Burton Blatt which requires at least two nominations), we highly encourage multiple nominations for each nominee
  • All nominations due by midnight on September 24, 2023
  • Award winners will be notified in mid-October and awards will be formally presented at the DADD conference in January 2024
