This award recognizes exceptional early career teacher educators in the area of education for students with autism, intellectual disability, or other developmental disabilities. DADD membership not required, but preference may be given to DADD members.

This award recognizes exceptional early career teacher educators in the area of education for students with autism, intellectual disability, or other developmental disabilities. DADD membership not required, but preference may be given to DADD members.

Given to someone who is beginning his/her career and showing promise as a teacher educator. Individuals who finished their doctoral work less than 6 years ago are eligible. These nominees must be contributing to teacher education in a significant way.

  • Members and non-members can nominate
  • While not mandatory (except for Burton Blatt which requires at least two nominations), we highly encourage multiple nominations for each nominee
  • All nominations due by 11:59pm Eastern time on September 30
  • Award winners will be notified by the end of October and awards will be formally presented at the DADD conference in January
