This award recognizes exceptional researchers in the area of education for students with autism, intellectual disability, or other developmental disabilities.
Presented to an individual who reflects the ideals of the Division and who has made significant contributions to the field of developmental disabilities through research. Selection criteria include: (a) Exceptional effort and involvement in furthering the cause of persons with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities, and/or autism through research, and (b) DADD member

- Members and non-members can nominate
- While not mandatory (except for Burton Blatt which requires at least two nominations), we highly encourage multiple nominations for each nominee
- All nominations due by 11:59pm Eastern time on September 24
- Award winners will be notified in mid-October and awards will be formally presented at the DADD conference in January
