CEC offers bulk discount prices for orders of 10 or more copies of CEC books. All discounts are applied to the list price of the book. No further discounts are offered from the CEC member rate. Discounts apply only to certain books with product numbers that start with P. Note that orders with large quantity order discounts are not eligible for return. 

 

REQUEST DISCOUNT

CEC's publication warehouse is located in Illinois, and typically ships out orders one to two business days after the order is placed. Packages with publication quantities of 50 and less are shipped via United States Postal Service Media Mail. Shipping prices are $3 for the first book and an additional $2 for every book added to the order. Publication orders of more than 10 books are shipped via UPS. Orders of under 10 books are shipped via USPS Media Mail. Shipping costs for orders over 50 books are sometimes increased or decreased depending on the distance and the size of the order. For these larger orders or if you are interested in rush shipping, please contact CEC at service@exceptionalchildren.org

 

CEC cannot ship to P.O. boxes. CEC does not ship outside of the U.S. or Canada.

CEC allows returns on P and S product books only. 

 

To request a refund of credit for your return, you must fill out the form available below. In the form, you will be asked to include the number of copies you are returning, the invoice/order number, and a statement on the reason for the return. Note that discontinued publications are not eligible for return. 

 

Items must be postmarked within 30 days of the invoice date to be eligible for return. A restocking fee of $10 is charged on all returns and will be taken out of your refund. Returns without proper information will be issued a maximum discount of 50%. 

 

All returns must be in resalable condition as determined by our fulfillment staff. Damaged products will be replaced upon verification of damage. The customer is responsible for all shipping charges. Refunds will be issued upon receipt of the return

 

Note: eBooks are not eligible for returns. 

 

REQUEST RETURN

CEC provides desk and examination copies to college professors and instructors upon request. Copies are available only for certain CEC-published books (books that display product numbers beginning with P). In a 12-month period, higher education faculty may request up to two complimentary desk or examination copies of CEC publications.

 

Desk copies are intended for instructors who have already adopted one or more CEC books as required reading for a course. They are available in either physical or eBook form. Examination copies are intended for instructors who are considering a CEC publication for course adoption. They are available in eBook form only.

REQUEST COPY

CEC is the sole source provider of most of the books listed on our website with product numbers that start with P. If you are interested in receiving a copy of our sole source letter, please contact Member Services.

BOOK PROPOSAL FORM

CEC is not responsible for lost or missing shipments. Please file a claim with the carrier (UPS or USPS) to inquire on the status of your shipment. Refunds will only be issued after a claim has been made with the carrier and on the discretion of CEC staff. Refunds will not be issued for any lost shipment over 100 days old. 

CEC accepts credit cards and purchase orders. To pay via credit card, either enter it through the buy button on each book page, or call our office. To pay via purchase order, please email it to the email below. 

 

Book stores are not eligible to pay via purchase order and must provide payment at the time of purchase.

  1. Navigate to the Learning Library here: https://learn.exceptionalchildren.org/
  2. Once you access the Learning Library homepage, click on “My Dashboard” in the menu.
  3. Filter by status if you do not see the content you are looking for in your dashboard. 
  4. Email us with any other issues or questions about the Learning Library or accessing your webinars/programs.
